After years of installing this bulb, we no longer recommend using them. We feel this is just too much power for the aging Vanagon wiring system. We now recommend using the 55 watt H3 bulb available here.
If you have to use these bulbs, please make sure all of your grounds and connections are good. The less resistance, the better. We highly recommend installing the headlight relay kit before installing brighter bulbs to prevent your headlight switch from burning up. We have found in some cases that a 15-amp fuse upgrade is required. Fits inner square headlights 86 thru 91, inner square on the H4 rectangular headlights, and South African inner headlights.
