Steel and powder coated Fiamma Mounting bracket kit for your 1981-1991 Vanagon. It requires drilling into the bracket to install the awning, but no drilling into the body of the vehicle.

3 brackets and all hardware included.

It is hard to give you a torque spec. for the bolt for this bracket because the bracket does not bottom out or compress to anything, but anything above 10 lb/ft, you need to pay attention to the bracket and rain gutter to make sure the neither is starting to bend or deflect. If you notice any bending or deflection, you have gone too far.

This kit will NOT work on 1980 Vanagons and some 1981-84's, which have a slightly different rain gutter configuration than later models. Please click on the additional photos above to see a comparison of the different gutter styles in order to identify your gutter.
