Vanagon Stainless Steel Coolant Pipes

Upgrade to stainless steel coolant pipes in your Vanagon for reliability and peace of mind! VW used long plastic pipes to loop coolant from the engine in the rear of the van to the radiator in the front. With the newest Vanagon now over thirty years old, the original plastic coolant pipes can break leaving you stranded. We manufacture stainless steel replacements that are custom bent for perfect fit every time.

Why you need to do this job:

Your Vanagon came from the factory with either steel or plastic pipes to transport coolant from the engine in the rear to the radiator up front.  Now that our vans are several decades old, the original pipes are degrading badly - the steel pipes are rusting and the plastic pipes crack.

Features of our stainless steel coolant pipes:

  • Mandrel-bent for a perfect factory match
  • 1.5" stainless steel will outlast your van
  • Complete with silicone connecting hoses and clamps
  • Lifetime warranty against manufacture defect
  • Designed and manufactured in Fort Collins, Colorado
  • FREE SHIPPING to most addresses

Fitment Notes:

  • Although it is not necessary to remove the fuel tank, the installation is easier if you loosen the fuel tank brackets and lower the back of the tank an inch or two.
  • If you slightly lower the tank rather than remove it, the pipes can be installed without disturbing the evaporative components above the tank.

Eliminate another cooling system failure point with our Aluminum Coolant Expansion Tank
