This ignition lock cylinder is made by VW and is the one sold in the US for Vanagons but the cut of the key does not match the original cut.

This cylinder uses keys with the AH code.

As such it is perfectly fine if you are not intending to get your tumblers in your door locks to match your new ignition key.

The price has risen lately on these VW dealer ones and the aftermarket ones have improved in quality. If you need a replacement key, we have the genuine VW key available here.

Due to poor quality, we no longer offer a lower cost option (Hella brand).
