New aftermarket 16-gallon (60 Liters) gas tank (stock size) with 7mm outlet. This tank uses the 251 201 139A (50mm) filler neck seal that is available in the fuel tank reseal kits below. If your van came with the plastic filler neck that tapers from the opening where you pump the fuel to the opening at the tank (see picture above) and your van originally used or still has the small square fuel filter in front of the fuel pump, then this is the tank for you. All fuel tanks regardless of the filler neck size use a 7mm return (from the plastic hardline).

If you have the filler neck that does not taper, this tank will not work for you unless you find a used plastic tapered filler neck.

You would ditch the small square filter and update to the canister style fuel filter that mounts behind the fuel pump. You would need a little over .5 meters (2 feet) of 12mm fuel hose and 5 fuel line clamps and two zip ties to complete this upgrade.

Regardless of which fuel tank you use, you will need this fuel tank reseal kit to complete the job.

Please note: The sending units can be tight to install - line up tabs and twist into place. The tabs on tank may be bent down a little more than necessary making it tough to twist. If this is the case, take a crescent wrench and slightly bend upward - not too much as you need to keep tension on the seal. These tanks have a rough life traveling across the ocean and may have imperfections in the paint, but this will not affect their performance.

This tank will fit diesel models 01/81 thru 91 with the engine codes of CS 1.6Ltr, KY 1.7Ltr, and JX 1.6TD.
KY and JX were not originally imported to North America, but many since have been brought over.
This tank will also fit carburated vans not imported to North America with the engine codes of DG, DF, and SP
