This wheel bearing seal is the same both for the inner and outer part of the bearing on Syncro models, so the vehicle takes 4 of these total. These seals are designed to keep water out of the wheel bearing area if the wheel gets submerged. When replacing wheel bearings these seals can often be removed and reused so it is not essential to replace them when doing wheel bearings. Replacement is more based on your judgment of age, mileage, and deterioration and whether you plan to do creek crossings in your Syncro. Sold individually.
