This hose kit will fit Vanagons with an automatic transmission. It will have the engine hoses and the radiator hoses, but will not include the Feed Hose to Heater Core or the Return Hose to Heater Core, Heater Core Hose Kit, or the hoses going to the automatic transmission cooler unless you order them from the options menu above. In some cases, the hose in this kit may be made out of silicone as the rubber version is no longer made and or the fitment or quality is unacceptable. Please keep reading to see which options apply to your van.

Early automatic vans 86 thru early 87 to chassis number 25-H-022953 used the Coolant Tower Junction Early 2.1LTR 2WD Automatic. In conjunction with this tower, the early automatics used a small straight hose from the tower to the coolant pipe and 5/8th hose from the tower to the transmission cooler.

Later automatics used COOLANT TOWER JUNCTION LATE 2.1LTR 2WD and this tower eliminated the small straight hose and 5/8th hose and replaced it with the "croquet mallet" hose, COOLANT PIPE TO DISTRIBUTION TOWER TO TRANS. COOLER 2.1LTR AUTO TRANS ONLY. If you are an early van and you want to upgrade to the later style tower and the 251 121 104D hose or you are a late model van and want to purchase both a new junction and croquet mallet hose there will be an option above. If this is enough to consider you can order the later tower in stainless steel as well.

The big hose with a branch on it to the transmission cooler that runs from the thermostat housing to the pipe that runs forward that fits both early and late model vans is an option as well. This hose is no longer made in rubber and we had to have it made in silicone. It's a bit pricy, so we made it an option.

But wait, there's more! If you are buying the early style hoses then you will need to select the option for the S hose that goes to cylinder # 1 to the coolant tower junction, VERY EARLY COOLING HOSE #1 CYLINDER TO COOLANT TOWER 2.1LTR 2WD. If your van is the later model, you will need to select the S hose: COOLING HOSE #1 CYLINDER TO COOLANT TOWER 2.1LTR 2WD. If you buy the stainless steel junction, it will come with the hose ending in 130A or if you already have the stainless steel junction please order the 130A hose.

If a hose, or multiple hoses, are currently out of stock, a complete hose kit will not be available to order.
