This intelligent device monitors charge on both starting and auxiliary batteries. It gives preference to the starting battery until it reaches 13.2V before beginning to charge the auxiliary. No more having plenty of juice to run your stereo but none to start your van!
Our battery isolator also assists in engine starts. When the starter is energized, the primary battery voltage is compared to that of the auxiliary. If it is lower, the two batteries are paralleled together so the auxiliary can assist in vehicle starting. No more monkeying around with battery cables!
Lastly the unit charges batteries as needed at steady rates that reduce sulfation and prolong battery life.
