Product code: 003455

NEW HIGH TORQUE GEAR REDUCTION STARTER

Key Features:

  • 100% NEW and Made with the Highest Quality Components Available
  • Full One Year Warranty
  • Meets or Exceeds Original Specifications
  • 1.0KW Denso Motor
  • Full Billet Machined and clock-able drive end
  • No Core Charge
  • SHIPS FREE to most addresses!

Fitment Notes:

  • You do not need a starter adapter plate to install this starter - it replaces the stock 2WD Vanagon Manual Starter.
  • If you have a 4wd Syncro, we recommend purchasing the SR0425N starter and the adapter plate.
  • This starter will not work with a Vanagon diesel bell housing.

Installation Notes:

  • The base plate is usually set at a good location for installation in a Vanagon.  The design of this starter allows you to "clock" the starter so the solenoid is in it's most desirable, and easily accessible location. If everything seems ok the way it is out of the box, clocking the body of the starter is unnecessary.

  • The pigtail included is the starter signal wire. The WOSP starter uses a locking connector.  The stock non-locking Vanagon connector CAN fit onto the starter, but may possibly fall off, forcing you to crawl around on the dirt in the worst spot possible.  Simply connect the provided pigtail to the stock Vanagon wire and push the connector onto the starter trigger terminal.

  • The starter trigger circuit (from the ignition switch) is low current -- no need for concern about the difference in wire sizes between the original trigger wire and WOSP trigger pigtail.
