Although the end does wear with age and use, please keep in mind that this piece does just slip into a hole on the pivot piece below the floor and then just snaps into the bottom side of the pedal. Sometimes it just pops out due to the pedal being pulled up too high and is misdiagnosed as being the culprit when you only need to snap it back in place. We do offer it as they do at times wear out and become prone to popping out. We found this made by a trusted aftermarket supplier and offer it at a more favorable price.
